The Deputy Chief Project Engineer collaborates on the Power & Controls, Engine Control Systems (ECS) engineering efforts for the Pratt & Whitney Next Generation Product Family (NGPF).
The Deputy Chief has opportunity to work with Collins engineering functions and coordinate with Value Stream Leadership and Pratt & Whitney to deliver technical solutions to delight our customers.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Technical execution of engineering activities for programs within the Value Stream.
- Represent Engineering in the Large Commercial Engines NGPF Value Stream
- Provide leadership and guidance to Project Engineering
- Manage overall program milestones though tracking and providing execution communication
- Coordinate overall program technical communications
- Ensure technical scope changes are coordinated with the Value Stream Leaders
- Communicate effectively to Value Stream team, Senior Management and Pratt & Whitney
- Drive world class reliability through fleet monitoring and field investigations / Relentless Root Cause & Corrective Action activities
- Maintain fleet reliability metrics.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience OR
- Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience OR
- In absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required
- Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident Green Card holder
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Project Engineering or Program Management
- Experience in design, development and certification of control system hardware
