This candidate must be able to communicate complex concepts to others and have advanced SQL and programing skills with proficiency in Excel. Experience with AIR is required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Extract and prepare exposure data for catastrophe risk analysis
- Analyze changes in exposure and associated impact on modeling results
- Develop exposure aggregation or limit profile reports to monitor risk accumulations for property and other lines of business
- Model exposure using AIR's technology platform
- Analyze and report risk/exposure to natural catastrophes; support analysis and reporting
- Validate that modeled results are appropriate, understand and communicate nuances behind model results
- Create and improve upon data and analysis automation tools which help monitor catastrophic risk
- Prepare independent insight and commentary on modeling summary narratives and other deliverables
- Use stochastic modeling software to generate alternative view of risk
- Assist with the preparation of external reporting to rating and regulatory agencies
- Assist with preparation of data extracts and final exhibits for reinsurance submission
- Under minimal supervision, perform moderately complex to complex work assignments and problem resolution
- Communicates with co-workers, management, clients, vendors, and others as needed in a courteous and professional manner.
- Maintains the integrity of the company and products offered by complying with federal and state regulations as well as company policies and procedures.
- May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING
- Bachelor's Degree: Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or other highly quantitative field

SKILLS AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs required
- Proficiency in Excel required
- Proficiency with industry software/internet research tools or other computer skills required (i.e. Accounting Software, Contract Management Systems, Development Software, Inventory Software, HR Systems, Project Management Software): SQL, R, Python or similar programing language, Catastrophe Modeling Software (AIR, RMS, KCC), GIS software (ArcGis, QGIS or similar software)
