Summary:
Tribal Preference: The Snoqualmie Indian Tribe follows the Tribal Hiring Preference as outlined in tribal policies, including the Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance (TERO). TERO sets forth certain hiring preferences for qualified individuals who are enrolled in a federally recognized Indian tribe, as well as, in some cases, preference for certain family members of those individuals. Additional Information: Hourly, compensation will be determined based on experience and starts at $36.62 per hour. This position is a regular full-time position and employment is at will. Location: Snoqualmie, WA Benefits: First of the month following date of hire - competitive medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance benefits for all regular full-time employees. After 90 days - 401k retirement plan with employer matching contributions up to 4%. Paid Holidays - Up to 18 paid holidays are offered every calendar year, which includes the workdays between Christmas Eve and New Year's Day. Paid Time Off - Employees accrue 12+ days sick and vacation leave respectively. Increases based on years of service. Provide a broad range of case management support for Tribal members and other clients receiving care for substance abuse disorder (SUD) and/or mental health (MH) disorders. Engage in and support relevant prevention programs or campaigns.

Duties:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Advocate for Tribal members and/or clients CD/MH care needs including any co-occurring CD/MH conditions, tobacco cessation or other unmet care needs to ensure they receive the appropriate level of care including transitional care and transitional plans to support ongoing care needs Serve as the lead employee with Tribal member requests for inpatient and/or referred care including emergency and/or crisis situations according to the policy and process in place to ensure the requests are processed quickly and the appropriate level of care is coordinated with external agencies and/or facilities. Monitor Tribal members care received from external agencies and/or facilities to ensure inpatient and/or residential care received is the appropriate level of care. If the Tribal member is returning to ambulatory care provided by Snoqualmie Behavioral Health Services (SBHS) or another agency, provide the client with transition planning. Plan and implement follow-up or aftercare programs for Tribal members discharged from external agencies or facilities providing inpatient or residential care services, so continuity of care is in place. Provide Tribal members and/or clients with information about addiction issues and services/programs available, making appropriate referrals when necessary. Prepare for and participate in SBHS care management meetings and/or SBHS staff meetings that support Tribal member or client's access to care and transition planning or support services. Consistently document all care, education and case management provided in the electronic health record. Receive referrals and coordinate with the appropriate clinical supervisor in assigning a therapist to the client. Be able to give those seeking services, who SBHS cannot provide care for, alternative resources for behavioral health services. Facilitate completion of Intake/registration paperwork for new clients and ensure it is filed in the correct location Assist in updating annual paperwork for clients receiving services Assist with requesting records and responding to records requests Provide resources for client care in the tribal community and the larger community related to housing, food, education, specialty therapy/support groups etc. ADDITIONAL DUTIES: use the job link to see the full listing
Qualifications:
POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Knowledgeable and aware of historical trauma and how it impacts Native American individuals today; must be culturally competent and sensitive towards the needs of this population. Proficiency in Diagnostic and Statistical Manual, version 5 (DSM-5) American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) criteria as it relates to diagnosis. Proficiency in the use of ASAM Placement Criteria and the 4 Quadrants of Care. Excellent communication skills and ability to prioritize and work independently, including receiving and otherwise obtaining client information from all relevant sources., strong organizational skills Proficiency with receiving, maintaining, documenting, or transmitting confidential Tribal member and/or client records or other confidential information according to HIPAA and relevant Washington Administrative Codes (WACs). Ability to help maintain an environment that encourages teamwork, interdependence, and ethical behavior. Ability to take directions and follow through with recommendations of supervisor. Previous experience working in Tribal communities preferred. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Education Required: Bachelor's degree in psychology, addiction studies, social work, social services, or related field with education from a regionally accredited college or university required. Education Preferred: Not applicable. Experience: Four years' experience as a Substance Use Disorder Professional preferred. Previous experience with Resource Patient Management System, Electronic Health Records preferred. Updating and using relevant knowledge such as Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, PowerPoint, or other relevant software to achieve the duties and responsibilities for the position. Certifications/Licenses: Current certification as a Substance Use Disorder Professional in Washington State. CPR and 1st Aid certified. Valid Washington State Driver's License without restrictions. Other Requirements: Must be able to pass a thorough pre-employment background investigation. Must agree to be subject to the Tribe's Controlled Substance and Alcohol Testing Policy to include pre-employment screening. If a former participant in SUD treatment, must have completed treatment and maintained recovery for a minimum of five years before employment.
