Minimum Qualifications
Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related area of assignment or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience). Four years of progressively more responsible management experience. Background knowledge of assigned department's area of specialization in order to analyze, plan and draw conclusions for recommendations to superiors. Demonstrated leadership skills in planning and directing employees and processes in order to effectively monitor and develop subordinates and to ensure the smooth operation of department.
This position is patient-sensitive and must fulfill all associated requirements. Job Summary
- Oversees administrative, financial, personnel, and technical functions of a program within the Division of Family and Community Medicine Clinical Operations.
- Takes a leadership role in designing, implementing, and running various strategic programs in the department and plays a key role in developing clinical operations strategy
- This position is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of various programs as well as the planning, implementation, and tracking of strategic projects as directed.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and best practices.
Responsibilities
- Assists the department with clinical-operations improvements and with addressing logistical challenges, such as tracking provider productivity, and understanding current provider compensation models.
- Participates in developing a strategy for the department and manages projects related to implementing the strategy.
- Manages a suite of services in primary and urgent care, including virtual care.
- Assists Urgent Care Leadership with managing all day-to-day program responsibilities, such as provider staffing, coordination with partners (e.g. billing office, IT, call center, revenue cycle), training, optimizing workflows, etc.
- Works across multiple clinic locations, developing relationships with clinic leadership and providers, to implement operational strategies.
- Identifies opportunities for optimization and expansion of current services to improve patient care, efficiency of clinical operations, patient access and experience, and provider well-being.
- Foresees emerging patient care needs, care models, technical innovations, value-based improvements, and market trends.
- May prepare an operating budget, which estimates expenditures and monitors and reports the status of the budget on a monthly or annual basis.
- May review expenditures and monitor approval processes.
- Coordinates financial and human resource management functions.
- May coordinate the recruiting, selection, orientation, and supervision of staff.
