Job Summary
The Senior Pipeline Integrity Engineer reports to the Supervisor, Integrity Management and applies advanced knowledge of engineering principles and practices with gas pipeline integrity management. The focus of this role is managing and maintaining the company's integrity management plan, scheduling and supporting pipeline assessments, oversight of Company's pipeline risk management program, participation in state and federal inspections and collecting integrity performance measures for annual reporting.

The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration (see physical requirements above). The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate in the office but, may become loud at the project site.

Key Accountabilities
- Applies advanced knowledge and background of engineering principles to transmission and gathering pipeline industry.
- Directs integrity management program (IMP) to ensure compliance with Federal pipeline safety code, the Company's O&M Manual and other regulations.
- Develop processes and procedures to ensure IMP implementation and documentation.
- Maintains and evergreens documentation associated with IMP compliance.
- Completes annual review and update of company IMP.
- Identify, evaluate and risk rank pipeline safety threats or risks.
- Implement remediation plans, measure performance, monitor results and evaluate program effectiveness.
- Develop and implement strategies to continually improve the integrity management program.
- Stay abreast of current and proposed pipeline integrity regulations, participate in the regulatory process, submit positions and comments to rulemaking dockets.
- Support the IM Supervisor with the planning and budgets for pipeline assessments and other integrity work.
- Collaborate with company project execution team to support implementation of IM related projects, including ILI, and ILI related dig work.
- Prepare written procedures to facilitate construction, maintenance, pipeline integrity assessments and operation of gas transmission and gathering systems.
- Provide technical support to Company field operations and construction as needed.
- Prepare and present technical reports and technical summaries on projects.
- Work with 3rd party vendors to ensure failure analysis are complete and thoroughly documented.
- Mentors and provides guidance/direction for less experienced personnel.
- Maintain Company's MAOP reconfirmation lists
- Other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering and a minimum of 7 years of job related experience
- Possess & maintain a valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineering license and/or Master's Degree
Other Requirements
- Strong knowledge of planning and execution of pipeline integrity management tasks including ILI and DA, pipeline repair decisions, pipeline remediation, threat identification, risk assessment and records management
- Strong knowledge of industry codes and standards including applicable Federal, State, and local regulations, laws, and codes, ASME 31.8, ASME 31.8S, CFR 192, DOT, and PHMSA rules and regulations. Knowledge of CFR 195 is a plus.
- Strong analytical, planning, organization, time management and problem solving skills
- Must be able to make sound engineering decisions under limited time constraints
- Experience leading cross functional teams
- Ability to interpret blueprints/drawings/schematics and other engineering documents
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing with people at all levels both within and outside the company
- Proficiency in computer applications applicable to specific work field/discipline including Excel, and Word
- Effective in self-management of time with a demonstrated personal commitment to work
- Ability to travel away from home office for up to 25% of the time
