Job Description
In addition to performing primary care duties of a staff psychologist (Individual, group and family therapy, crisis intervention, discharge planning, psychological testing, as well as supervision of staff and trainees in therapeutic modalities), the Psychologist Level III will participate in coordination of programming, screening of referrals, Quality Assurance/ Performance Improvement data, and incident reporting/ investigation of PHP events.
Minimum Qualifications
SPECIAL NOTE # = Additional Requirements for Assignment Level III
For assignment to Assignment Level III, individuals must have the following in addition to meeting the minimum Qualification Requirements for Assignment Level I above:
A. The Doctoral Degree in Psychology as described under Special Note A. for Assignment Level II, and
B. A valid license as a Psychologist issued by the New York State Department of Education; and
C. Four years of satisfactory full-time experience in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, School Psychology, Forensic Psychology, Clinical Health Psychology, or Neuro-Psychology, of which at least one year must have been under the direct supervision of a qualified Psychologist or Psychiatrist, and at least three years must have been in a supervisory capacity as a licensed Psychologist.
D. License Requirements for Assignment Level III
For assignment to Assignment Level III, a valid license as a Psychologist issued by the New York State Department of Education. This license must be maintained for the duration of the assignment.

Job Description

- Coordination of programming
- Screening of PHP referrals
- Coordination and presentation of Performance Improvement data, participation in the quality assurance program on the Unit, implement and document quality improvement
- Investigation of PHP incidents and report writing
- Representation at Incident and Special Committees
- Oversee ad coordinate patient and primary care which involves full clinical responsibility for evaluation treatment coordination of medical milieu, and dispositional needs an appropriate documentation
