Position Overview
The Business Intelligence Analyst role is an integral part of RGA Reinsurance Group of America. Within the Real Estate Investments team, this Business Intelligence Analyst position is providing reporting technological solutions to support the full life cycle of Commercial Mortgage Loans. The Business Intelligence Analyst, under limited supervision will be responsible for Analysis, Design and Development of a variety of Business Intelligence Reporting Tools. The Reporting tools include SSRS Report Development, Development of Custom Data Extracts, Tableau & Power-BI Dashboard Development as well as Ad-hoc Data and Reporting requests supporting the data needs of the Real Estate Investment team.

The general pay range for this position is $84K - $115K per year. Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. The Reporting tools include SSRS Report Development, Development of Custom Data Extracts, Tableau & Power-BI Dashboard Development as well as Ad-hoc Data and Reporting requests supporting the data needs of the Real Estate Investment team.
Responsibilities
- Participate and elicit business requirements for reporting and dashboard design and translate these requirements into technical specifications.
- Conducts structured walk throughs of requirements with business and project team members.
- Design and Development of Canned, Custom and Ad-hoc Commercial Mortgage Loan reports to support the Origination, Underwriting, Asset Management, Accounting and Servicing groups utilizing in house BI reporting tools including SSRS, Custom SQL queries, Power Queries, and Power Pivots.
- Design and Development of Tableau and Power-BI Dashboards reports to support both the Real Estate and Investment areas.
- Analyze and extract Commercial Mortgage Loan data to support key performance information, trends, data audits as well as portfolio management data analytics.
- Design and Development of Test Plans in support of all reporting requests following standard SDLC processes.
- Develop and update report documentation and utilize reporting deployment tools to migrate reporting tools through multiple environments.
- Train Real Estate business users on the Commercial Mortgage Loan Reporting environment in support of self-service reporting model.
- Participate in special projects, providing data analytics and data modeling as needed in support of end business users in real estate.
- Assesses current data use of the Commercial Mortgage Loan system and provides continuing performance improvements to best utilize tool to determine any data clean-up required, working closely with IT investment solutions teams.

Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPEREINCE
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent related work experience
- 3+ years in Business Intelligence and data warehousing areas
- 3+ years in programming and system analysis
- 3+ years using SQL Server
Preferred:
- Experience in Commercial Real Estate Finance
- Working knowledge of Loan Management Systems
- Working knowledge of Visual Studio and Github source control
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Required:
- Intermediate SQL/Query Skills
- Intermediate Knowledge of Business Intelligence tools including SSRS, Tableau, and Power BI
- Intermediate Knowledge of SharePoint, Visio & Microsoft Access
- Intermediate Knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Intermediate level of investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Intermediate level of people management skills, demonstrating the ability to lead, mentor, and develop associates; including the ability to delegate key areas of responsibility
- Strong oral and written communication skills demonstrating ability to convey business terminology that is meaningful and well received
- Advanced ability to set goals and handle multiple tasks, clients, and projects simultaneously; Ability to appropriately balance priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
- Ability to quickly adapt to new methods, work under tight deadlines and stressful conditions
- Broad business knowledge, including knowledge of investments and\or financial lending
