Description:

Responsible for managing the repair of Safran Helicopter Engines USA (Pool) assets, works with Repair centers to identify production cost reduction opportunities and with customer support to reduce the overall cost of the repair, responsible for evaluating the technical documents and develops solutions to optimize the overall value of the pool inventory, participates in the company TAT initiatives and meets the objectives for Safran pool team, drives the customer satisfaction (internally with other departments and with operators repairing materials that will meet their needs).

Job Duties:
Technical Aspects
Review the customer's requests in order to define the appropriate way to support them
Assist Fleet Asset Management Specialist with customized requests to meet customer's technical criteria and budget
Validate the level of repair, the scope of repair and the associated repair center to be considered, considering a cost optimization and an engine availability analysis. This process could involve communication with the Field Representative to review the technical documents available (FOW...)
Coordinate the repair of Pool materials with our different Safran Repair sites and our subcontractors
Analyze, challenge and approve the work scope provided by the shop, confirm the Pool Protocol is applied and drive our cost reduction objective
Analyze, challenge and approve the technical report by :
Arranging scrap reviews as necessary with the shop
Preparing the quote
Optimizing the repair cost (which could lead to an update of the work scope: repair to overhaul, overhaul to scrap...), exchanges of modules or the use of repaired parts instead of new
By using and maintaining the internal Pool Cost Tool which supports the cost reduction initiative
Support any projects in the company to monitor and follow the pool costs
Track and report repairs costs in order to justify the repair cost when above the objectives
Approve work scope, and technical report as per the TAT goals
Minimize the number of work scope revisions implementing an anticipation process of decision
Facilitate and lead meetings with Safran repair shop and any other teams to determine progress of work to meet the TAT goals
Update the pool database to reflect the status of the engine in our stock
Propose additional invoices to Front Office linked to missing parts or unusual wear based on facts collected through the technical report.
Review inventory in stock for any applicable Alert Service Bulletins.
Update appropriately Safran IT system (CSA, OPX, TOOLS...)
Prepare Work order if needed
Be the focal point for technical purposes within Safran

Project Management
Lead projects helping to reduce TAT or costs
Lead initiatives to improve the efficiency within the POOL team
Propose improvement projects
Coordinate with the Corporate the implementation of containment related to Safran stock

Scopes and Accountabilities:
No supervisory or budget responsibilities; and employee would hold confidential and sensitive information and divulging information would lead to invasion of privacy; however, would cause low risk of damage to organization if an error was to occur within the position.

Candidate skills & requirements
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university or minimum of 5 years of experience in aviation mechanical, engineering or technical position
Mechanical/technical /interpersonal-Advanced- Skills must be adapted to the unique requirements of the organization.
Advanced - Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, sharePoint preferred
3+ years of advanced spreadsheets skills (pivot tables, charts/graphs, excel formulas, etc...) preferred
Experience in delivering results under pressure and take decisions
Experience in working across cultures and being sensitive to local sensitivities
Lean sigma or project management certification would be an asset
Able to multitasks, autonomous and proactive
