The Role

Xos is looking for a motivated and well-spoken Key Account Manager to join our sales team. The Key Account Manager will be responsible for communicating with customers, understanding their needs, and ensuring a smooth sales process. As a Key Account Manager, you should be able to close sales and meet targets.

To be successful as a Key Account Manager, you should be able to build instant rapport and achieve customer satisfaction. You should be able to work well internally and collaborate with other teams to accomplish customer success. A top Key Account Manager should be very competitive and a good listener.

This person should be comfortable in a technical environment but, more importantly, someone who can build relationships, communicate value-added opportunities to customers, demonstrate a consistent level prompt responsiveness to customer requests and refuses to accept defeat.

Responsibilities
  • Pursue Sales & Growth: Aggressively pursue sales by managing assigned fleets, growing new ones, attending trade shows and events, and utilizing existing networks.
  • Sales Targets & Reporting: Meets sales quotas and KPI's, utilizing CRM and other tools to report back to management.
  • Consultative Selling: Takes a consultative approach to selling by actively listening to the customer, understanding their needs, and selling solutions to their problems.
  • Customer Relations & Satisfaction: Responsible for customer satisfaction and communication from the initial call, through vehicle build and delivery.
  • Customer Visits: Regularly travel to customer sites and our Xos Manufacturing Plant in Byrdstown, Tennessee as needed to conduct product demonstrations, vehicle handoffs, and customer site training.
  • Maintain Professional Relationships: Build and maintain professional relationships with customers to support ongoing needs and ensure satisfaction.


Qualifications
  • Associate, Bachelor's degree, or higher
  • Prior sales or account management experience in a B2B environment required, transportation or industrial experience preferred.
  • Previous experience in account management of large regional and national accounts
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in a customer-facing role
  • Proven ability to meet sales quotas and KPI's
  • Proficient with CRM tools, Google suite products, data-driven, and analytical skills desired.
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
  • Excellent written, phone and in-person presentation skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Experience with C-Suite level audiences
  • General financial knowledge (Return on Investment, Total cost of ownership, etc.)
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and creating processes; strong problem-solving skills
  • Project management skills; ability to follow up and engage with customers
  • Drive - passion for cleantech industry/company vision
  • Ability to travel frequently to customer sites and manufacturing plants, as needed.

The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
