Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is looking for an experienced professional in fundraising, to lead and support resource development (RD) and program teams in developing and executing a strategy to significantly grow funding from major gifts. This position is responsible in cultivating and building a pipeline of new donors and providing excellent stewardship to ensure sustainable, successful and impactful relationships.
This position will be based in any of the other particular countries: Metro Manila, Philippines; Kathmandu, Nepal; NSW Australia; Jakarta, Indonesia; Cheung Sha Wan, Hong Kong; and Geylang, Singapore
Candidates must be currently eligible to work in the country without sponsorship. The successful candidate will be offered an initial contract of 1 year that is subject to renewal depending on the availability of the funds, and a local country-based compensation package.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead implementation of a strategy to engage high net worth individual (HNWI) donors in the Asia Pacific to contribute to the APDC (endowment) fund and to Habitat's mission.
- Function as the primary contact to pro-actively manage relationships with existing and prospective major donors, making connections with Habitat's National Directors, Resource Development (RD) staff and others.
- Source a pipeline of HNWIs across the Asia Pacific countries (1 in total) through systematic prospecting activities; proactively pursue networking opportunities and establish meaningful relationships.
- In line with our values, be a passionate ambassador for Habitat, and a positive representative of Habitat both internally and externally and on occasion, speak publicly to promote key initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with Habitat HQ and RD teams in AP, EME and LAC on the engagement and stewardship of Habitat Development Council (HDC) members and ensure alignment of mission, principles, and operating procedures.
- Secure 6-figure gifts to fund Habitat's programs across the Asia-Pacific region and contribute to meeting annual revenue goals and be accountable for individual and team KPIs (estimated target: US$ 1 million per annum).
- Work closely with Habitat colleagues to identify and collate compelling project information for HNWIs, drafting and presenting proposals to attract and secure significant funding. Think creatively and innovatively and work closely with the Associate Director, RD team and colleagues in Communications to produce top quality, attractive pitches, and presentations to donors.
- Manage the portfolio of partnerships with HNWIs and oversee the complexities of individual donor requirements. Manage a stewardship and communication plan to ensure we keep major donors engaged.
- Deliver accurate and engaging reports for donors, ensuring that we meet their funding and reporting criteria and expectations, support with gift and pledge acknowledgements, pledge documentation and processing.
- Fulfill the role of a database administrator for major gifts, maintaining accurate, up-to-date prospects in our donor management system and producing reports. Serve as the lead for data queries, providing CRM services and training.
- To be an HFH employee, you have a responsibility to learn significant awareness on safeguarding in order to recognize and be alert for the signs of potential safeguarding misconduct, and to make a timely report about any incident related to it.
- Ensure that all donor contract agreements signed by donors and beneficiaries include mandatory safeguarding clauses.
Minimum Requirements:
- Years of Related Experience:
At least 8 years of front-line experience in HNWI fundraising, with a passion for networking and relationship building. Existing network of HNWI contacts in the Asia Pacific is preferred
Qualifications:
- Track record of managing a successful donor portfolio, achieving targets as part of a strategic fundraising plan, and maximizing income from existing and prospective donors
- Proven ability to apply working knowledge and principles of the donor cycle, donor stewardship and/or fundraising ethics and best practice
- Demonstrable strong relationship building and account management skills
- Fluent in English; Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with excellent interpersonal, presentation and negotiation skills
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and highly collaborative
- Proficiency in software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Experience in using Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
