Job Summary:

The K-4 Curriculum Director will supervise and support K-4 staff as well as coordinate related activities. This position is 210 days per year.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Oversee overall operation of the grades K-4 curriculum and instruction in collaboration with the building administrators and Assistant Superintendent.
  • Participate in and facilitate faculty staff department meetings.
  • Work closely with the building principal to ensure the successful scheduling of appropriate related course offerings as it relates to the master schedule.
  • In conjunction with building level administrators, supervise and evaluate grades K-4 teachers and support staff.
  • Implement comprehensive grades K-4 programming for all students.
  • Actively participate in the K-4 budget process.
  • Assist with professional development in the content areas.
  • Serve and lead committees as needed/assigned.
  • Recruit grades K-4 teachers and support staff, and recommend hiring of such employees to the building administrator and superintendent.
  • Develop and promote community understanding and support of the content area of K-4
  • Oversee curriculum alignment for grades K-4.
  • Work with the Assistant Superintendent and 5-12 curriculum directors to ensure K-12 vertical alignment of curriculum and assessment.
  • Ensure that curricular course goals, content, syllabi, assessments and rubrics are consistent across the curriculum.
  • Oversee development of common summative assessments.
  • Analyze data to drive instructional practice.
  • Attend and participate in relevant training sessions, meetings, and professional growth activities as requested/required.
  • Assume additional responsibilities as the Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent of building principal deem appropriate.

  • Qualifications:

    A current New Hampshire administrative certification, Curriculum Administrator (0008) or Principal Certification
