WECU is seeking a Branch Manager for our team located in Blaine, WA In this role you will perform a variety of duties and responsibilities relating to the efficient operation of the branch.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Involved with hiring, hands on training, evaluating, scheduling, and, when appropriate, discharging branch employees.
- Coaches staff to deliver the highest quality of member service possible.
- Directs sales and service activities to ensure annual employee and departmental goals are met and relationships with current and potential members are maximized.
- Supervises staff on a daily basis to ensure the office is running smoothly.
- Maintains the cash vault for the branch including ordering cash for the office. Supplies tellers with daily cash, money orders travelers' checks and counter checks.
- Facilitates department meetings to disseminate pertinent information and discuss operations methods and problems.
- Communicates relevant product/service/policy information to staff.
- Counsels members with any problems that cannot be handled by tellers.
- Ensures that the facility is properly maintained, and all equipment works properly.
- Oversees security of the office and performs quarterly security audits.
- Performs duties and responsibilities of a teller, vault teller, and loan officer.
- Promotes branch community involvement
- Responsible for the accuracy of all department information published on the WECU internet website, and if applicable, the functionality of department products/services presented on the WECU website.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management.
REQUIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or GED
- A minimum of one year's experience with a credit union or other financial institution
- Must have the ability to supervise and motivate employees to ensure efficient workflow. A high level of interpersonal skills necessary to represent credit union in a positive fashion when dealing with teller/member transaction
- Demonstrated ability to handle staff performance issues.
- Must have the ability to interpret and explain credit union policies and transactions posted to members' accounts. Must adhere to credit union policies and procedures.
- Ability to exercise judgment, initiative, and tact in dealing with membership, management, and staff.
- Ability to represent the credit union in a positive, professional manner in person, on the telephone, and in written correspondence.

COMPENSATION:
The salary range for this position is from $70,678 to $99,781 per year.
