DIRECTOR OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

JOB SUMMARY: The Director of Information Technology will lead the Information Technology team that supports The Cliffs. This includes 7 private clubs, real estate, homebuilding, and the corporate office. This position works closely with the VP of IT to direct the planning and development of the information architecture framework and the company's ever growing and changing needs. This senior leader will set the culture and nurture the staff in all aspects of technology, including leading by example in the field as needed.

JOB DUTIES

The Director of IT will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:

  • Manage the IT department's team members, including training, recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation, and coaching
  • Manage external resources and consultants
  • Assign and prioritize resource workload
  • Plan and monitor the overall operating and capital budgets for IT, and initiate and approve requests for the resources through the appropriate chain of command
  • Work in tandem with other IT staff to ensure that the overall IT operation of the Cliffs facilities function at high level
  • Develops training plans for staff and users as needed
  • Participates in the strategic decision-making and tactical planning of the organization around technology deployment
  • Demonstrates teamwork by collaborating with other department and club managers to ensure that IT systems support the organization's goals and operations
  • Provide strong customer service to all customers, both internal and external
  • Ensure the integrity of the Cliffs' intellectual property through proper architecture of systems, security measures, data backup/recovery, and training in the uses of technology
  • Keeps apprised of current developments in IT; makes recommendations to Senior Management to improve efficiency/effectiveness of IT functions


Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an IT Director or similar role
  • A subject matter expert in network management, fault detection, configuration management
  • Experience in controlling information technology budget
  • Experience in hospitality related IT a major plus
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills including patience
  • Availability to address urgent IT issues outside of standard business hours
