Description:

The Network Administrator (Security and Automation focus) is responsible for maintaining the on-site IT and manufacturing automation systems at our Saginaw / Ft. Worth facility. This position will work with our corporate IT team to support our networks, end users, servers (Windows), and manage security systems for all our North American manufacturing facilities. This role combines expertise in IT infrastructure, security, and automation to enhance the overall operation and security posture of the organization.

Compensation: $80,000-$100,000 annually

Primary Duties:

IT Support
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, networks, printers, and scanners.
  • Monitor and maintain network and system security, including antivirus software, firewalls, and other security measures.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in a timely manner.
  • Manage user accounts and permissions, ensuring secure access to IT systems.
  • Provide technical support and training to end-users, addressing questions and concerns.
  • Maintain inventory of IT and automation assets and ensure proper documentation of procedures and configurations.
  • Collaborate with other IT and automation team members on projects and initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational IT and automation policies and procedures.

Automation Development
  • Assist with automating solutions to streamline and enhance business operations and security processes.
  • Develop scripts and tools to automate repetitive tasks and improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate with IT, operations, and security teams to identify automation opportunities.

Security
  • Regularly perform security assessments, vulnerability scanning, and penetration testing to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Stay up to date with the latest security trends and technologies and recommend enhancements to improve network security.
  • Participate in incident investigations and provide technical support during security incidents.

Business Solutions Design:
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and design effective IT solutions.
  • Develop and implement IT solutions that align with business objectives and improve operational efficiency.
  • Create and maintain documentation for business solutions, including technical specifications and user guides.


Documentation and Training
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of processes, procedures, and scripts.
  • Provide training and support to IT staff on the use of tools, solutions, and processes.
  • Stay updated on the latest security trends, technologies, and best practices.


Requirements:
  • Strong communication abilities

  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash).
  • Experience with security tools and technologies (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls).
  • Knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and database security.
  • Familiarity with cloud security (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Experience in designing and implementing IT solutions for business operations.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and experience in providing IT support.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience working in IT security, automation, business solutions design or a related role.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+ or ITIL are preferred.
