Responsibilities
This position aims to advance clinical research partnerships with our state-wide network of physicians at the College of Medicine across all of our regional campuses. New clinical research partnerships provide an increased number of research training opportunities for the medical students. Additionally, it advances many university-wide research goals, such as FSU Health. This position is responsible for engaging with leadership across the college to accomplish strategic goals and set pathways for continued growth.
Collaborates directly with faculty research mentors and recruits new physician partners to expand the range of medical specialty research opportunities for medical students. This position will help streamline and integrate the research processes for students conducting research in both hospital and ambulatory settings during their clinical years. Provides training and guidance to students regarding research policies, ethics, and compliance (to include IRB compliance). Supports the Assistant Dean in coordinating, planning, evaluation, and implementation of research education initiatives. Analyzes and prepares various reports, including those needed to meet the expectations of the college's accrediting body (LCME). Duties of this position necessitate travel to our regional campuses regularly.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and six years of experience in a related science or research services field; or a school diploma/equivalent and experience equal to ten years. (Note: post-high school education can substitute for experience at the equivalent rate.)
A valid Florida or Georgia Driver's License or the ability to obtain prior to hire. Ability to travel in the state on a regular basis.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree preferred.

Anticipated Salary Range
Anticipated starting salary: $85,000, commensurate with experience.
