Under direction of the Chief Accounting Procedures Analyst or other supervisor, performs the more difficult and responsible technical work involved in reviewing the
accounting systems and procedures of an agency, department, or jurisdiction and in making recommendations for the improvement of these procedures and systems;
takes the lead over Accounting Procedures Analysts; does other related duties as required.
REQUIREMENTS:
NOTE:Applicants must meet one of the following or a combination of both experience and education.
Thirty (30) semester hour credits are equal to one (1) year of relevant experience.
OR
SALARY/STIPEND: As Per Contractual Agreement
LOCATION: Accounting Department
KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES:
Knowledge of the principles and procedures used in the development and installation of accounting systems.
Knowledge of the specialty systems used in such fields as machine accounting, forms control, records management, work measurement and simplification, and their application to accounting functions.
Knowledge of the standards, approaches, and methods of modern management and their application to management problems in the accounting field.
Knowledge of the principles, practices, and procedures for analyzing and evaluating accounting procedures and systems.

- Seven (7) years of professional accounting or auditing experience, one (1) year of which shall have been in the development and analysis of accounting methods and procedures, including or supplemented by twenty-one (21) semester credit hours in professional accounting courses.
OR
- Possession of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, including or supplemented by twenty-one (21) semester hour credits in professional accounting courses; and three (3) year of the above-mentioned professional experience; one (1) year of which shall have been in the development and analysis of accounting methods and procedures.
