The DarkStar Group is seeking a Systems Engineer with a TS/SCI + Poly clearance (applicable to this customer) to join one of our top projects in McLean, VA. Below is an overview of the project, as well as information on our company, our benefits, and our $25,000 referral program.

THE PROGRAM

The DarkStar Group is a member of 100% of the winning teams for the largest technology program in the Intel Community. We've been supporting this customer on many different sub-projects of this program since our founding in 2013. THE PROJECT

The Sponsor requires a team to coordinate and manage technical projects in support of a mission-impact focused office. The Sponsor seeks assistance with performing technical project management that spans technical data analysis, information technology security research, data integration, software evaluation, and graphical visualization disciplines for multiple projects using the Sponsor's Enterprise and Mission specific IT infrastructure. The Sponsor seeks development expertise in order to build and strategize mission application needs.

THE ROLE
  • Plan, test, install and integrate new and upgraded versions of the relevant operating (Windows/UNIX) systems on organization computer systems.
  • Plan, test, install and integrate third-party software components (VMWare), and subsystems.
  • Assist higher level software system specialists in managing software life cycles.
  • Manage software life cycles.
  • Research and resolve routine systems software problems, working with higher-level specialists.
  • Research and resolve complex systems software problems efficiently and accurately while adhering to internal software management standards and procedures.

Required Skills
  • Demonstrated experience with Windows System Administration to include: Windows Server 2012 R2 or later and Windows 10.
  • Demonstrated experience with Hyper-V, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, SWUS, Group policy and Windows deployment server.
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft SQL server or later; Scripting (PowerShell, Bash, YAML, XML, and BitLocker).
  • Demonstrated experience with network administration (Firewalls, routers, and switches).
  • Demonstrated experience with backup and antivirus deployments (McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator or equivalent, System Center Data Protection Manager or equivalent.

Desired Skills (Optional)
  • Demonstrated experience working with Mission Specific applications and networks such as RH, MDSx, EMS, PRIVY and OUS Catalog databases.
  • Demonstrated experience holding secondary Mission specific CI scrub.
  • Demonstrated experience managing software life cycles.
