BAE Systems Inc. has an amazing opportunity for a Project Analyst to join our team in Rome, NY! In this role, the Project Analyst will be part of a dynamic mission providing project coordination and analysis services in support of our Air Force and Department of Defense (DoD) customers.
Responsibilities include:
- Support project managers in performing administrative tasks across the Project Management processes of organizing, integrating, planning, managing & controlling, developing and completing projects
- Track project progress to financial, schedule, technical and/or new business performance objectives
- Identify and track potential project risks and discuss with project manager to determine possible outcomes and solutions
- Prepare presentations such as Program Management Reviews (PMRs) to communicate project status and future plans to the customer
- Review and prepare contract documents for delivery to the customer
- Interface and coordinate with vendors and BAE Systems procurement analysts to purchase hardware, materials, and licenses on behalf of the customer
- Interface and coordinate with finance, contracts, and admin personnel on project manager behalf, when requested
- Attend meetings with the team and/or customer to identify and distribute action items
- Maintain a DBIDS to facilitate access to customer sites for in-person meetings
Required Skills and Education
- Bachelor's Degree
- 4 years of experience supporting a portfolio of projects from initiation to closeout
- Previous experience balancing and delivering on deadlines
- Stakeholder management and customer service experience; that includes excellent communication skills (both written & verbal)
- Experience with budgeting and finance for major projects
- Strong presentation and organizational skills

Preferred Skills and Education
- Defense Industry experience desired
- Demonstrated understanding of various government contract types, i.e. Earned Value, T&M
- Ability to break down technical concepts into business terms
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with focus on root cause identification
- PMP certification
