The Director collaborates with educators and stakeholders to establish a cohesive instructional framework, integrating best practices in teaching, assessment, and social-emotional learning. The role ensures that curricular programs prepare students for post-secondary success and supports continuous improvement through data-driven decision-making.
This position reports to the Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning.

- Develop and implement a rigorous, standards-based high school curriculum that includes detailed scope and sequence documents, pacing guides, and comprehensive assessment strategies, ensuring alignment with district goals and educational standards.
- Oversee the execution of high-quality curricular programs across all high school grades, adapting to emerging educational trends and student needs with a focus on maintaining high standards.
- Utilize data-driven insights to rigorously assess and refine courses and programs, ensuring they address diverse student needs and drive continuous improvement and equity in student outcomes.
- Formulate and execute advanced instructional strategies that align with state standards and represent best practices in teaching, promoting academic excellence and effective learning environments.
- Design and lead professional development programs that elevate instructional practices, integrating innovative techniques and technology to support enhanced student achievement and educator growth.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning by providing ongoing professional development opportunities, using data to guide instructional improvements and uphold high standards of teaching effectiveness.
- Analyze data to set, assess, and adjust curriculum and instructional goals, ensuring equitable access and opportunities for all students.
- Collaborate strategically with curriculum directors and other departments to ensure cohesive K-12 instructional practices and seamless curricular alignment across the district.
- Integrate social-emotional learning (SEL) principles into the curriculum and drive the adoption of advanced educational programs such as Advanced Placement (AP) and International Baccalaureate (IB), preparing students for post-secondary success.
- Establish partnerships with higher education institutions and industry leaders to align curriculum with future opportunities, including developing and expanding dual enrollment programs that provide students with college-level coursework and career preparation.
- Supervise the selection and adoption of instructional materials, ensuring resources support rigorous curriculum goals and are equitably distributed across schools.
- Administer the department's budget with strategic oversight, aligning financial resources with instructional priorities and maintaining fiscal responsibility to support educational excellence.
- Analyze budgetary data to make informed decisions about resource allocation, ensuring equitable distribution and effective use of resources to enhance curriculum and instruction.
- Direct and evaluate staff performance, providing feedback and making recommendations for hiring, reassignments, and disciplinary actions to ensure high standards of instructional quality and accountability.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to articulate curriculum goals, initiatives, and progress, ensuring transparency and incorporating community feedback into strategic planning.
- Monitor and enhance staff performance using data-driven approaches to ensure alignment with curriculum objectives and foster a high-achieving, supportive educational environment.
- Establish and monitor curriculum and instructional goals using rigorous, data-driven methods to ensure equitable and high-quality educational outcomes.
- Maintain regular on-site presence during business hours and undertake additional tasks as assigned by administrators or their representatives to support the department's objectives.

MIMIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION:
- Master's degree required
- Must possess or be eligible to obtain Georgia Professional Standards Commission Certification at a level 5 or higher
- Educational Leadership or Instructional/Curriculum Leadership preferred
- Five (5) years of educational experience in Education, Educational Administration, or related field required
