THE PLACE: Rose-HulmanInstitute of Technology has established itself as the nation's topundergraduate engineering, science and mathematics college. The scenic campusin west-central Indiana is home to 2,300 students with a passion for STEM andlearning. Rose is consistently listed among the best colleges and universitiesin the country, including a No. 1 ranking by U.S. News & World Report as the Best Undergraduate Engineering Program for 25 years running. Ourteaching-focused mission is to provide our students with the world's bestundergraduate science, engineering and mathematics education in an environmentof individual attention and support.
THE POSITION: TheDepartment of Computer Science and Software Engineering at Rose-Hulman invites tenure-trackfaculty applications with an anticipated start date of August 2025. Thedepartment, which continues to experience strong enrollment growth (currentlyover 500 students), offers B.S. degrees in computer science and softwareengineering. These programs are accredited by the Computing and EngineeringAccreditation Commissions of ABET. The department also offers amultidisciplinary second major in data science and minors inArtificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Data Science and Robotics. Thedepartment has several ongoing research projects among its vibrantinterdisciplinary initiatives.
Qualified candidates will have a doctorate (or near completion) incomputer science, software engineering or closely related fields (includingengineering education with an emphasis on these fields) and evidence of, ordemonstrated potential for, excellence in undergraduate teaching. We arelooking for candidates who embrace the mission and vision of Rose-Hulman tojoin our collegial team of 28 faculty. The department and the Institute place ahigh value on engaging students from traditionally underrepresented groups, andcandidates from these groups are especially encouraged to apply.
