Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive medical care to women, focusing on reproductive health pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum period.
- Perform routine gynecological examinations and screenings, including Pap smears, pelvic exams, and breast examinations.
- Diagnose and treat medical conditions and diseases affecting the female reproductive system, such as endometriosis, infertility, and sexually transmitted infections.
- Monitor fetal development during pregnancy through ultrasound and other diagnostic tests.
- Manage high-risk pregnancies and provide counseling and support to patients facing pregnancy-related complications.
- Perform surgical procedures as needed, including cesarean sections, hysterectomies, and laparoscopic surgeries.
- Educate patients on reproductive health, contraception options, and lifestyle choices that promote overall well-being.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including nurses and specialists, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
- Stay updated with medical research, guidelines and advancements in the field of obstetrics and gynecology.
Requirements

- Adheres to dress code, appearance is neat and clean.
- Completes annual education requirements, including all state federal and CMS regulations.
- Maintains regulatory requirements.
- Maintains and ensures patient confidentiality at all times.
- Reports to work on time and as scheduled, completes work within designated time.
- Wears identification while on duty, uses computerized time system correctly.
- Completes in-services and returns in a timely fashion.
- Attends annual review and department in-services, as scheduled.
- Attends staff meetings; reads and returns staff meeting minutes.
- Represents the organization in a positive and professional manner.
- Actively participates in performance improvement and quality improvement CQI activities, attends committee and management meetings, as appropriate.
- Complies with all organizational policies regarding ethical business practices.
- Communicates the mission, vision, core values, ethics and goals of the hospital.
- Works at maintaining a good rapport and a cooperative working relationship with physicians, departments and staff.
- Ensures compliance with policies and procedures regarding department operations, fire safety and infection control.
Regulatory Requirements:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
- BE/BC: Board eligible or certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Kansas state medical license
- DEA registration
- Current BLS required
- Current ACLS required
- Current PALS required
- Current TNCC required
