Job Responsibilities:
- Analysis of bulk chemicals and pharmaceutical compounds which require a comprehensive knowledge of chemistry and laboratory techniques.
- Method implementation, transfer, and validation for raw materials, in-process, final product, and stability samples.
- General housekeeping including maintaining general cleanliness of laboratories and restocking reagents and laboratory consumables.
- Conduct review of peer data.
- Maintain a through and neat laboratory notebook.
- Compilation of data obtained from analytical tests, analysis of the data, and reporting of the final result to appropriate department.
- May aid in the development of analytical techniques able to accurately quantify and/or identify various purities and impurities related to a certain drug substance and/or drug product. Write validation and transfer protocols and summarizing findings, documenting them in reports.
- May lead investigations of laboratory samples and development samples and help determine appropriate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address mitigation of investigation assignable cause.
- May be involved in interfacing with customer at times.
- Participate in integrated product team (IPT) meetings, providing updates on status of methods and specifications.
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry required. Master's degree in Chemistry preferred.
Experience Requirements:
- 2-5 years of experience in method development, validation, transfer
- 1 year of relevant experience in a cGMP environment preferred
- Knowledge of the following instrumentation is highly desired: LC/UV/MS, FTIR, GC, GC/MS, NMR and KF
