Position Summary
The Associate ADG (Advanced Development Group) Engineering Specialist position performs the function of design engineer for product development work on medical devices in the Advanced Development department in support of the ADG objectives to provide goods and services that meet customer's requirements for quality, quantity and timeliness. The primary role of the Associate ADG Engineering Specialist is to support ADG projects on time and on-budget that meet objectives.

The Associate ADG (Advanced Development Group) Engineering Specialist position performs the function of design engineer for product development work on medical devices in the Advanced Development department in support of the ADG objectives to provide goods and services that meet customer's requirements for quality, quantity and timeliness. The primary role of the Associate ADG Engineering Specialist is to support ADG projects on time and on-budget that meet objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible to follow Medical Murray Quality system, including all applicable SOP's included in the Training Matrix.
- Collaborate with the automation team in the qualification of automated systems.
- Record procedures and results, numerical and graphical data.
- Design devices in SolidWorks and build prototypes in laboratory environment.
- Recommend changes in product or methods.
- Assist in setup and installation qualification of new equipment, including creation of PM procedure as necessary.
- Support of equipment maintenance, as appropriate per skills and knowledge, manage escalation to Technology Manager.
- Support or perform equipment re-entry to line use.
- Proficient in 3D and CAD.
- Support ADG planning by conceiving and carrying out projects by critical deadlines to ensure strategic goals are met.
- Participate in the design of high speed equipment and machinery to support in-house needs of production and process engineering.
- Conceptualize, source, evaluate, qualify, test and install equipment.
- Ability to identify, design and implement new technologies.
- Wire electrical panels for automated equipment.
- Ability to read, interpret and wire using schematics.
- Identify, solve and correct potential design errors.
- Work with troubleshooting controls, circuits and electrical systems
- Prepare documentation to support quality system for design functions (project plans, concept document, FMEA, design input, test results, drawings, etc.).
- Complete activities as project phase checklists. Engage and handoff activities to manufacturing engineering.
- Review document changes in manufacturing for impact on design intent.
Qualifications
- Technical skills must include disposable design and development background, materials knowledge and prototyping.
- Project management experience is highly preferred to plan and conduct complex development projects
Experience
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Computer skills including MS office, SolidWorks or alternative CAD program
Education
