Product Sales Specialist - SICK includes strategy and execution on product mix, vendor relations, marketing, and revenue generation associated with the Vision, Safety, Sensor segment of the business.
Knowledge of vision, safety, and sensor automation applications and software programing skills are required. Must have the ability to assess, test, prove-out, and demonstrate software/hardware solutions on SICK per customer requirements. Organizational and project management skills are essential while working on multiple solutions with multiple customers simultaneously. Associates and/or Bachelor's degree in instrumentation, controls or engineering preferred.

Key Product Sales Specialist - SICK Accountabilities
- Assist in evaluating Hartfiel's "SICK readiness" by looking at people, products, process, and presence to reveal and fix Hartfiel's weaknesses and optimize Hartfiel's strengths when it comes to the SICK product line.
- Responsible for maintaining and increasing market share of SICK within existing accounts and new prospects, by partnering with Outside Sales Engineers and/or working independently.
- Build and strengthen Hartfiel's relationship with SICK as a vendor to maximize support and product offering.
- In partnership with Branch Sales Managers, create detailed sales plans to move SICK sales forward in each of Hartfiel's territories. This would include details regarding target accounts, target industries, and unique product capabilities or advantages, establishing a roadmap.
- Assist in creating SICK sales and margin targets for each of the next five years. This would include information about headcount and relevant metrics to determine progress.
- Lead the region in SICK training initiatives, both internally as well as Hartfiel training for customers. This will require scheduling, curriculum development, vendor alignment and interfacing with sales and marketing to drive results. Sales training will include instruction on sales process, pricing, and liabilities surrounding product and programing.
- Work closely with other project team members as needed to ensure the final solution has compatible software and electronic hardware which functions properly and meets specification requirements.
- Involvement throughout all stages of a product's lifecycle including modification, upgrades and maintenance of SICK product.
- Work with the marketing department to create sales collateral required to highlight and further describe Hartfiel's capabilities with SICK. In addition, create and highlight spreadable wins to gain recognition and create additional momentum.
- Weekly funnel review meetings to ensure forward movement of opportunities.
- Travel minimum of 40% of the time, including meetings with customers to generate and/or revise concepts and product requirements. This also includes working with Sales Engineers to develop competency with SICK solutions.
- Teamwork and involvement in the pre-sale of concepts and solutions.
- Involvement in other pneumatic, hydraulic, and motion control applications as needed.
- Other miscellaneous duties as assigned by manager.
