Job Summary
The Executive Assistant provides administrative support to the executives in the Strategic Development and Affiliates departments. This position represents UCSF Health in interactions with faculty, staff, physicians, and patients, as well as city, state, national, and other outside organizations and agencies. Provides support in a fast-paced, high-intensity work environment. With a full understanding of the scope of the organization, the incumbent works on complex assignments, where judgment is required in resolving problems and making recommendations on resolution. Exercises self-direction and examines one's performance critically to improve work habits and processes, including organizational skills and interaction with others. Collaborates with others in a team.
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $78,700 - $123,300 (Annual Rate). Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or four years of experience and three (3) years or more of related administrative/executive assistant experience.
- Thorough knowledge of common organization-specific and other computer application programs.
- Solid analytical / problem-solving skills to include problem identification.
- Political acumen and sensitivities to the differing perspectives and political circumstances within all levels of the organization as well as the Office of the President and external constituencies.
- Strong service orientation and skills to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, faculty, alumni/donors, students, and external constituencies, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to use high-level discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Advising and counseling skills.
- Ability to successfully multi-task with demanding timeframes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Five (5) years or more of related experience.
- Familiarity with the organization's processes, protocols and procedures.
