We have an immediate opening for an energetic, passionate & experienced full time professional to join our Merchandising team as a Merchant (Accessories - Karl Lagerfeld Paris).
This position is responsible for P&L of the Karl Lagerfeld Paris Accessories division. Determines product assortment and ensures they are brought to market in a timely and profitable manner. Executes merchandising and marketing strategy including assortment, sales planning, pricing and allocation. Acts as the primary liaison between design, production, sourcing vendors, marketing, sales and allocations. Manages the product life cycle and inventory from concept to consumers. Oversees set-up of store to ensure products and promotions are current and reflect strategies and financial management goals.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree required in Fashion/Retail Merchandising, Business or related field
- Minimum 5-7 years progressively responsible retail experience in merchandising or product development is required
- Divisional responsibility also required
- Previous supervisory experience preferred
- Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills
- Negotiation, project management, data analysis, product development and trend forecasting ability are critical
- Must be agile, proactive and detail-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills that allows for working with multiple departments and multiple levels of associates
- Advanced Excel skills, conceptual skills and strong organizational skills are also required
- Product Development skills are preferred
- Domestic Travel is required
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Product Development / Buying Responsibilities
- Coordinates with Planning and Design on developing key categories, reviewing samples, with open-to-buys and achieving key financial measures
- Full Profit & Loss accountability for product
- Develop and manage financial plans with adherence to open-to-buy financial and inventory parameters
- Responsible for approving final product line and negotiating pricing
Price Management and Promotions / Marketing Strategies
- Determines pricing strategy on new products (PMU and gross margin)
- Determines and manages markdowns and profitable exit strategies for product
- Develops and Manages the SKU assortment / Assortment Planning
- Partners with Design to develop assortment
- Determines the life cycle of the product while in stores and actively manages inventory through development of exit strategies
- Partners with Marketing, Visual Merchandising and Store teams to develop overall visual merchandising for product line
Coordination / Liaison Duties
- Acts as key liaison with Planning, Allocating, Sourcing Vendors and Marketing on product development, delivery of goods, promotional and pricing strategies
