About the Role

Dependable Home Health of Nevada is seeking a dedicated and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about delivering high-quality patient care, we'd love to hear from you. Reporting to the Clinical Manager, you will play a crucial role in evaluating and treating patients to help them regain independence and improve their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Evaluation: Assess patients' functional status, including muscle function, endurance, and environmental hazards, to develop a comprehensive care plan.
  • Treatment Planning: Develop and implement individualized treatment programs, setting goals for improved function and communicating these plans with the referring physician and other healthcare professionals.
  • Skill Re-training: Teach new skills or retrain patients in daily activities they may have lost due to illness or injury.
  • Adaptive Equipment: Fabricate splints, train patients in the use of adaptive equipment, and instruct in the use of prosthetic and orthotic devices.
  • Clinical Documentation: Maintain detailed clinical records and report any changes in patients' conditions to the primary physician.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
  • Education and Supervision: Instruct patients, families, and caregivers on treatment regimes and supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants according to organizational policies.
  • Discharge Planning: Participate in discharge planning to ensure patients have the resources they need to continue their care at home.

Qualifications
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
  • Certification: Registered with the National Registration Examination of the American Occupational Therapy Association.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent organizational abilities.
  • Certification: Current CPR certification is required.
