PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Demonstrate knowledge of best practice in the area of special education service delivery
- Demonstrate an understanding of supporting students with articulation/phonological disorders
- Demonstrate an understanding of supporting students with social thinking/pragmatic language deficits
- Demonstrate an understanding of supporting students with expressive and receptive language disorders
- Support students and staff with use of Augmentative and Assistive Technology and alternative language systems
- Conduct screenings and evaluations, as needed
- Serve as the case manager for students eligible for special education services under the eligibility category of Speech or Language Impairment
- Demonstrate the ability to problem solve in the moment in the best interest of students
- Provide individualized instruction that aligns with student's identified goals & objectives as outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with other members of the instructional team (i.e. special education teachers, assistants, related service staff, administrators, etc.)
- Provide written feedback to parents and teams related to a student's progress toward their identified goals and objectives and complete other documentation as it relates to a student's Individualized Education Program (IEP)
- Serve as a member of the Student Services Learning Team and the district-wide Speech/Language Learning Team
- Perform other duties as assigned
