Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Cloud Infrastructure Management: Design, deploy, manage, and optimize cloud environments across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, ensuring high availability and scalability of cloud services.
- Monitoring & Incident Response: Implement and manage monitoring tools to ensure the health and performance of cloud systems. Respond to incidents, troubleshoot issues, and ensure minimal downtime.
- Automation & Scripting: Develop and maintain automation scripts (e.g., using Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation) to streamline cloud operations, including infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes.
- Security & Compliance: Ensure cloud environments are secure and comply with industry standards and regulations. Implement best practices for identity and access management (IAM), data encryption, and network security.
- Backup & Disaster Recovery: Design and maintain backup and disaster recovery strategies to ensure business continuity. Regularly test and validate recovery procedures.
- Cost Management: Monitor and manage cloud costs, providing recommendations to optimize resource usage and reduce unnecessary expenses.
- Collaboration & Support: Work closely with development, DevOps, and IT teams to support application deployment, troubleshoot performance issues, and resolve cloud-related challenges.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud infrastructure, configurations, and processes. Provide regular reports on system performance, incidents, and compliance.
Essential Job Requirements:
- Clearance:
- Secret clearance.
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
- Experience/Skills:
- 3-5 years of experience in cloud operations, cloud engineering, or a related role
- Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with cloud automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
- Strong understanding of networking, security, and compliance in cloud environments.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Datadog, Prometheus).
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, ability to work in a team, and excellent communication skills.
- Certifications: Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect) are highly desirable.
