POSITION SUMMARY
Lead strategy development and execution for profitable growth in the Energy market with an initial focus on composite flexible pipes and other composite structures for on-shore and off-shore Oil & Gas, Carbon Capture, and Hydrogen.
Key responsibilities include value chain mapping and industry engagement, business model canvas development, new market identification, lead ideation, technology innovation roadmapping, and strategic collaboration with customers and partners to validate new solutions and develop the market.
Responsible for aligning resources from different functions for the short, mid, and long-term growth of the segment.
The position reports to the VP of Corporate Development with a dotted line to the VP of Aerospace for day-to-day integration into the work of the market team.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Develop, test, and validate Web value proposition and potential for differentiation.
- Establish reputation as "industry-networked-consultant" by engaging and building relationships with leaders in enterprises up and down the whole value chain to understand market trends, problems, relationships, opportunities, pricing, etc.
- Map the value chain / ecosystem in each sub-segment.
- Develop shark chart that maps Web's value to strategic, financial, cultural, and operational pains for each player in the value chain.
- Develop SWOT analysis of Web and competitors in the market and an action plan to capitalize on strengths and opportunities and to mitigate weaknesses and threats.
- Develop business cases (business canvass model) and financial models for investment.
- Cultivate a culture of calculated risk-taking in a cross-functional team (sales, technical, supply chain, finance, legal, operations, quality) with clear communication of strategy and consensus building on resourcing, investment, and playbook.
- Develop warm leads for sales team members. Develop pitch deck, talking points, presentations, social media and internet strategy, key contract terms.
- Facilitate review sessions with sales and Web leadership. Review and interpret key account, competitor, and supply chain financial and other data to identify opportunities driving pipeline growth.
- Identify related market / service growth opportunities for future Field Market Development sprints.
Additional REQUIRED Qualifications/Skills:
- Bachelor's degree required (technical preferred). Master's degree or MBA preferred.
- Experience with B2B market development efforts on multi-material semi-structural parts. Plastics, carbon fiber and other composites, and their hybrids a plus.
- Understanding of the Energy / Oil & Gas value chain a plus.
- Successful track record of developing and executing solution roadmap in collaboration with value chain partners at a senior level.
- Ability to lead, direct, guide, plan and develop teams in a global / matrix setting.
- Experience with budgets, business planning, P&L, analysis.
- Strong executive presence, communication, business savvy, and negotiating skills
- Team player, willing to get involved in all aspects of projects.
- Travel requirements: global 3-10 days per month, 25% estimated.
