The Growth team is responsible for scaling the organization through marketing and advertising. We are the engine that brings the company new customers to make ALL the dogs happy. Our team is close-knit - we like to have fun and joke around, and we're often found nerding out on consumer behavior and new growth initiatives.. WHO WE'RE SNIFFING FOR

BARK is seeking a Director of Affiliate/Influencers/Podcasts to manage some of our most crucial customer acquisition channels. This role involves:
  • Affiliate Marketing: Own and manage our affiliate marketing through Commission Junction. You'll be responsible for scaling subscriptions on affiliate / content/review sites, and setting up CPA deals with various entities. WE ONLY WANT TO FOCUS ON AFFILIATES THAT DRIVE INCREMENTALITY SO DEEP DATA ANALYSIS IS REQUIRED.
  • Influencer Marketing: Signing and managing relationships with micro, mid-level, and macro influencers who can effectively promote BARK and drive sales.
  • Podcast Marketing: Identifying and leveraging the best podcasts for advertising to increase subscriptions.

You will handle all aspects of campaigns including media planning, implementation, monitoring, optimization, analysis, reporting, pixel placement, and budget pacing. This role requires a deep understanding of the CJ platform (with the opportunity to switch to another platform if you deem necessary) and current trends in the D2C landscape. We currently are leveraging two agencies to help on the affiliate and social influencer side of things, so you will also be responsible for determining if we have the right agencies, or if we should use agencies at all.

KEY DUTIES:
  • Plan, launch, QA, optimize, and report on affiliate, influencer, and podcast campaigns.
  • Manage daily campaign activities including pacing, tracking optimizations, and addressing issues.
  • Develop and execute performance and testing strategies to attract new customers and enhance the acquisition funnel.
  • Conduct tests such as incrementality and geo tests, and quantify their success.
  • Provide daily metrics reports with actionable insights to achieve goals.
  • Continuously refine and advance our marketing strategies.
  • Educate internal teams on best practices, platform updates, and new products.
  • Foster strong partnerships with our reps at CJ and other platforms.
  • Identify growth opportunities through data analysis.

EXPERIENCE:
  • 7-10 years of deep digital marketing experience in the direct-to-consumer space, with a preference for subscription-based models.
  • Strong understanding of incrementality analysis and a keen eye for creative quality.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Expert knowledge of Affiliate Marketing, Social Influencer Marketing, and Podcast Marketing.
  • Expertise in web analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Amplitude and Tableau.
  • Highly analytical with strong data skills.
  • Passionate about emerging trends in digital marketing.
  • Detail-oriented, entrepreneurial, and responsive to feedback.
  • Capable of managing multiple campaigns simultaneously.
  • Consultative and communicative approach with a zeal for educating internal teams and colleagues.

FOR NJ/NY BASED APPLICANTS:
  • The base salary range for this position is $150,000- $200,000
  • This position is eligible for equity
  • This position is eligible for an annual bonus

**This compensation range is based on BARKs good faith estimate as of the date of this posting and may be modified in the future. Actual pay for this position will depend on a variety of variables including location, travel, internal equity, experience, education, skills and expertise.
