Job Summary:
This position serves as the product owner for process automation requests and works closely with an agile team to build and deliver automation needs for the enterprise. The Product Owner is responsible to work with business lines on their automation needs by conducting as is/to be analysis, eliciting requirements and prioritizing work for the process automation team. The Product Owner will groom and maintain a consistent backlog of work for the process automation team and play a key role with stakeholder management, status reporting, and supporting project delivery. This position may also serve on enterprise project teams representing automation solutions when needed.

Job Summary:
This position serves as the product owner for process automation requests and works closely with an agile team to build and deliver automation needs for the enterprise. Primary Duties:
- Work closely with process automation administrators to design, build, and deliver alternative solutions for business partners. Serve as the liaison between business lines and the process automation team on project requirements.
- Serve as the agile product owner for the process automation team to provide priority for user stories and ensure the deliverables produced meet customer expectations.
- Facilitate process optimization discussions with business partners to evaluate current state and identify opportunities for optimization.
- Direct large efforts and coordinate team efforts.
- Ability to work on a variety of projects varying in size and complexity with a strong degree of skill and proficiency. Serves as a leader on larger efforts of work following departmental procedures.
- Apply LEAN principles to business process evaluations and designs.
- Communicate effectively with business units to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions.
- Provide project management services on process optimization projects and/or other enterprise projects as needed.
- Effectively manage business unit expectations related to their process optimization needs.
- Maintain and manage process optimization project lists and work with key stakeholders to prioritize projects.
- Maintain project tracking and status reports. Effectively know and communicate project status to key stakeholders and all levels of leadership.
- Facilitate the creation of business requirements documents, uses cases, test cases, process diagrams, and user stories as needed.
- Serve as a liaison between the assigned business unit(s), information technology teams, and system administrators to ensure solutions adhere to technical standards.
- Proficiently apply risk management techniques to identify and mitigate project risks. Appropriately track and monitor issues until resolution.
- Effectively manage vendor resources on projects to ensure contractual commitments are delivered.
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of company policies and procedures related to business analysis, compliance, and project management. Serve as a resource to lesser experienced team members.
- Partner with the department Manager and team members to improve processes and continuously improve operational excellence.
- Work closely with Internal Audit, Legal and Information Security to ensure Bell Bank is adhering to security and legal standards and are up-to-date with all compliance and regulatory requirements. Serve as a resource to lesser experienced team members on these matters.
- Actively participate in department and team meetings, team building, and other company events.
- Must be able to travel independently throughout the company and to remote locations as needed.
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of industry best practice in the field of LEAN processes

Job Skills Required:
- Minimum B.A. in computer science, project management or business and/or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 8 years of information technology, business analysis and/or bank operations experience, or a combination of such experience is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong proficiency in leading meetings.
- Proven leader and self-starter. Works well independently and in a team environment. Willing to learn new things and be a leader of change for others.
- Strong organization and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of and/or experience in technical concepts, workflow automation, business applications, project management principles and a general understanding of technology.
- Prior experience working with agile teams preferred.
- Strong organizational, research, analytical and problem-solving skills are required to evaluate situations, make recommendations and take prompt, effective corrective action.
