This is an 18-month term position with the possibility of renewal for an additional 6 months based on need.

Job Summary
Reporting to the Associate Director, Web Services and Technologies, the Web CMS Administrator is responsible for providing configuration, project management, and administrative duties on a portfolio of multiple websites within the HGSE web ecosystem. They will occupy a full permissions admin-role within the websites in their portfolio, and will work with and advise key stakeholders on website construction, configuration, user management, taxonomy configuration, and ongoing content management and maintenance, ensuring that standardized best practices for Information Architecture, Web Accessibility, and HGSE branding are in place and providing input and guidance on opportunities for enhancement. This portfolio is expected to consist of websites that utilize Drupal and the emergent HarvardSites platform, which offers augmentations of both Drupal and WordPress. As such, a thorough understanding of Drupal is essential, including nodes, data fields, taxonomy, user management, and module-based configuration. The role is also expected to have a fundamental understanding of WordPress administration and component-based editing.

Work Format Details
This is a hybrid position that is based in Massachusetts. Additional details will be discussed during the interview process. All remote work must be performed within one of the Harvard Registered Payroll States, which currently includes Massachusetts, Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Virginia, Washington, and California (CA for exempt positions only). Certain visa types and funding sources may limit work location. Individuals must meet work location sponsorship requirements prior to employment.
- Undergraduate degree (BA/BS) and two years of related work experience or a minimum of three years related work experience.
- Expertise in Drupal administration on at least one medium to large sized site.
- Any candidate wishing to be considered must supply a cover letter in addition to their resume showing that they meet the required basic qualifications.
Additional Qualifications and Skills
- Experience in Higher Education website management a plus.
- Experience with Looker Studio a plus
- Familiarity with WordPress administration
- Familiarity with Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager
- Familiarity with WCAG/Digital Accessibility practices a plus
- Experience with task management systems a plus
- Familiarity with SiteImprove a plus

- Contribute to strategic planning and information architecture collaborations around new websites using the HarvardSites platform.
- Construct new websites using HarvardSites Drupal or HarvardSites WordPress.
- Provide ongoing project management , maintenance, editing, and configuration work on a Portfolio of HarvardSites websites.
- Assist with updates on the custom Drupal HGSE flagship site.
- Assist with implementation and monitoring of SiteImprove on websites.
- Contribute to Google Analytics 4 implementation and configuration work via Google Tag Manager.
- Independently contribute to analytics/data dashboard construction.
- Analyze and review website performance and KPIs with stakeholders.
