Description:
The Director of Marketing is responsible for the management, development, and implementation of marketing activities to maximize sales of brand. They will work closely with all internal departments and external partners involved in the sales and marketing of multiple restaurant and hospitality brands. The position has a dotted line reporting relationship to the Ops Leaders for Jack in The Box, Denny's, and the Resorts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under general direction, the Director of Marketing will direct and coordinate strategic marketing activities, and for the attainment of brand sales goals. Responsible for managing the spending, pricing, product, packaging, media, promotion, and copy strategies. Coordinates the activities of market research, production, sales, finance, and advertising.
The Director of Marketing plays a managerial role in the marketing activities of the department by overseeing the creation of engaging designs and content in order to ensure proper and consistent communication to the desired audience and embodiment of the brand identity.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Executing all marketing elements to support marketing calendar windows.
- Communications strategy by media channel, including tv, social, and PR.
- Giving strategic and creative direction to all marketing agency partners.
- Supporting off-premises sales with all marketing materials.
- Brand management, including ensuring proper execution of brand positioning and visual identity.
- Monitors and enforces brand usage guidelines and applies project management practices in overseeing the execution of brand marketing programs.
- Oversees major branding aspects of the department such as budget, strategy, timeline, and determines the approach to creative execution of programs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 6-8 years' experience managing the creative process for traditional and digital communications - preferably overseeing marketing activities within the restaurant industry.
- Proven and successful experience working with a team on a high-value business project, where they represented successful project management and time management skills.
- Ability to influence and manage relationships, establishing long-term and meaningful external connections on behalf of the business.
- Highly proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, and MS Excel that will be a necessity in the creation of verbally and visually engaging branding materials, reports, and presentations for the department, collaborating personnel, relevant stakeholders, and external partners.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Must have at least 6-8 years in brand marketing experience, preferably working with brands in the restaurant industry.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Experience successfully working in multiple organizational structures and matrix environment.
- Ability to travel on occasion as needed.
- Credibility to lead and influence leaders at the executive level & work collaboratively.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred.
- Ability to express ideas persuasively and clearly.
- Must be able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with outside contacts such as agencies, partners, vendors, and media.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to organize and present material in a manner to gain agreement or acceptance.
