Halff has an immediate opening for a Roadway Engineer (PE) OR Certified Planner (AICP) to be a Project Manager in our Tampa, Orlando, or Tavares, FL office. The ideal candidate would have at least 7 to 15 years of experience conducting and managing Project Development & Environmental (PD&E) studies in the Central Florida region. The Roadway Engineer (PE) / Certified Planner (AICP) PD&E Studies Project Manager will be responsible for the overall management of projects, preparation of reports and studies, and direction of staff to complete PD&E projects with minimal supervision. There is upward mobility available to be a Team leader, Director and/or Practice leader with sufficient experience. Roadway Engineer (PE) / Certified Planner (AICP) Project Manager - Florida PD&E Studies Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Planning, Civil Engineering, or Project Development and Environmental Studies or ABET accredited equivalent degree
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience conducting and managing PD&E Studies in the State of Florida, experience in Central Florida preferred.
  • Florida Professional Engineer (PE) License OR AICP
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of the NEPA, state environmental and Florida PD&E requirements
  • Knowledge of the Environmental and Public Involvement activities required for PD&E Studies
  • Strong communication skills required
  • Experience managing projects, schedules, and budgets
  • Work with Statewide team to support business development and marketing efforts
  • Build and maintain relationships with PD&E clients
