Job Summary Description:
The Sr. Tax Specialist will be responsible for overseeing all tax-related activities within the organization. This role will support the tax department by handling Federal income tax, property tax, and sales & use tax for all PUIS locations throughout the United States. This role requires deep knowledge of tax regulations, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally throughout the organization.

Job Summary Description:
The Sr. Tax Specialist will be responsible for overseeing all tax-related activities within the organization. This role will support the tax department by handling Federal income tax, property tax, and sales & use tax for all PUIS locations throughout the United States. This role requires deep knowledge of tax regulations, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally throughout the organization.
Essential Job Accountabilities:
- Assist with internal and external tax audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.
- Prepare, process, and maintain all documentation related to the accounting cycle.
- Confirm accuracy of records and documents related to tax reporting and preparation.
- Help design and implement tax policies and evaluate managerial processes to ensure compliance.
- Lead all tax related planning and reporting including filing of corporate tax returns.
- Stay up to date on all federal, state, and local tax and accounting laws, and advise business leaders on best practices.
- Assist in developing business and investment strategies for an optimized tax return.
- Assist in developing new policies and procedures for improving the collection of tax information from department managers.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration or equivalent required. (Master's degree in taxation preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in a Tax related position.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience utilizing ERP software's (Acumatica preferred).
- Detail-oriented, team-oriented, and deadline-oriented.
- Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to change, take initiative, and attempt tasks independently.
