Description:

We are seeking a motivated General Manager to oversee the operations of one of our key locations in Landrum, SC. In this role, you'll be at the forefront of our business, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently.

What You'll Do:
  • Lead with vision: Collaborate with the Vice President of Operations to manage inventory, boost sales, and increase profits.
  • Run Operations: Oversee daily activities, from managing key employees to controlling inventory and ensuring top-notch customer service.
  • Build strong relationships: Communicate effectively with internal departments, field teams, and external vendors to drive success.
  • Champion safety and compliance: Ensure that all safety processes, policies, and regulations are followed to maintain a healthy environment for employees, customers, and the public.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Recruit, hire, and train top talent to create a high-performing team.
  • Oversee daily operations, ensuring a smooth workflow across all departments.
  • Provide constructive feedback and timely performance evaluations to help your team grow.
  • Manage employee relations, including discipline and terminations, in line with company policies.
  • Foster a positive work environment, prioritizing the health and welfare of all employees and customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all aspects of the location, including production, sales, inventory, customer service, delivery, safety, and administration.
  • Set and achieve operational and financial goals in collaboration with local and senior management.
  • Develop and enforce operating policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Inspire and motivate your team, fostering a productive and engaged workforce.
  • Promote and ensure compliance with safety initiatives, including OSHA and DOT requirements.
  • Lead and evaluate department managers, ensuring the overall success of their teams.
  • Partner with HR to recognize, reward, and discipline employees as needed.

  • A customer-focused mindset with strong sales and relationship-building abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and a knack for hitting targets.

Education and Experience:
  • A bachelor's degree from a 4-year college or university.
  • At least four years of related experience in the lumber or building materials industry.
  • A well-rounded background in all phases of business operations, with a deep understanding of procurement, inventory management, and team supervision.
