The Zaxby's Support Center is looking for a Sr. Manager, Calendar Strategy & Execution to support the Brand Marketing team. This individual will be bringing promotional windows to life, serving as the conduit from the Calendar & Strategy teams to the creative execution of the Marketing and Digital Teams. This includes setting merchandising and communication strategies and priorities, shepherding the Creative Briefing process, and running point on creative timelines and delivery. This role will serve as the single source of truth for national brand calendar and promotional activities.

This role also brings together various marketing disciplines (Advertising, Social, Email, Loyalty, etc.) to orchestrate cohesive campaigns, ensuring all marketing channels work together to deliver optimal value. It is critical to also have a base understanding of financial performance in order to make recommendations to optimize and shift marketing plans and priorities to ensure the business meets performance objectives.

This position is based in Atlanta, GA and allows for a hybrid work schedule that includes 3 in-office days per week.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Essential duties may include but are not limited to the following:
  • Supports and actively participates in development of the annual promotional calendar.
  • Creates merchandising and media briefs, including strategies to maximize sales via store-level channels.
  • Work with Brand + Calendar Teams on development of campaign briefs that guide development of integrated plans across paid and owned channels for a cohesive consumer experience
  • Keyholder to the Master Calendar, making sure our Marketing and Digital teams are always in sync to deliver a cohesive customer experience
  • Works cross-functionally across enterprise to ensure all aspects of marketing programs are effectively communicated and to ensure that all relevant company functions are delivering to support the campaign.
  • Ensures windows are executed flawlessly, closely partnering with Digital and Creative teams to ensure objectives of calendar planning are met.
  • Work with Creative team to identify key sales-driving needs to inform timing of and effort toward brand initiatives - sees the calendar (product + promotion + activations) holistically.
  • Champion development of robust project management structure to ensure the successful planning, execution and delivery of brand initiatives. These tools should help better manage work AND collaboration.
  • Works in tandem with agencies to analyze marketing and sales data to determine the effectiveness of a campaign or product promotion; identifies key channels or creative treatments that will maximize marketing impact
  • Develop presentations, creative campaign overviews, performance recaps and other materials for internal and external meetings
  • Utilize consumer insights, market data and media performance to inform decisions, refine creative execution and optimize creative in real time for optimal output

  • Interpersonal Skills: This role interacts with multiple departments and various layers throughout the organization. Influence, tact and diplomacy are critical to this role, as the menu team initiates action, motivates and influences multiple players, requests collaboration between departments and troubleshoots barriers to progress. Key audiences are internal team members, project stakeholders, department heads and senior leadership.
  • Independent Judgment: This role requires analytical ability, decisions based on business methodology and ingenuity. The scope of work requires day to day autonomy to identify actions and obstacles to successfully achieve project objectives. Presents recommendations swiftly and operates with nominal supervision. Detail oriented in approach to work, timeline and process driven. Innate and effective problem-solving skills with intellectual curiosity.
  • Business Acumen (Mental Process): Ability to apply knowledge and experience of multidisciplinary business principles and scientific methodology to achieve successful outcomes in a wide range of projects and activities. This role requires some cross functional knowledge in a variety of fields; supply chain, quality assurance, R&D, marketing and business analytics.
  • Organizational Impact: This role has strong authority and is a significant contributor towards the brand's primary offering, menu products. The activities of this team are rooted in the management and optimization of the brand's major business offering. The performance of the menu impacts the economic health at the restaurant level and at the level of the franchisor.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE GUIDELINES
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Business Administration or related field OR equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in food & beverage product development, marketing, strategy, finance or related field.
