JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Financial Analyst, relying on knowledge of and experience with financial planning and analysis, will support all levels of management by providing critical insight into the business through the preparation and analysis of historical and projected financial information. The Senior Financial Analyst will work with the finance and accounting team, and corporate management teams, to facilitate decisions based on financial and operational information. This position requires advanced modeling capabilities and the ability to present financial data in a meaningful and concise format. The ability to work independently with little supervision is required as is the ability to communicate proficiently with all levels of Management in a highly visible fashion. The Senior Financial Analyst must be a self-starter with a strong work ethic, bring a positive and outgoing personality to the role, and be a reliable and collaborative team member.

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Analyze and explain revenue and spending variance to budget and forecast, with prioritization on key drivers, in a storytelling format
  • Adhere to the schedule of the monthly forecasting and reporting process
  • Assess financial performance, analyzing variances and trends to determine root causes and the related impact on the Company
  • Provide insightful analysis of financial data to identify key trends to support business decisions and drive value-added improvement initiatives
  • Develop program and project financial models to support customer proposals, project investment decisions, and the forecasting process
  • Develop financial performance views for programs and projects to support periodic operational status reviews
  • Drive the development of annual and multi-year planning models with ownership of supportive analysis and underlying assumptions

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of this job.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Business (Finance preferred)
  • Minimum 5 year's finance and accounting related experience, with at least 3 in FP&A role
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and multi-dimensional databases
  • Highest level of integrity and ability to handle highly confidential information
  • Detail oriented, with ability to understand "big picture"
  • Experience in preparing financial presentations, including explanations
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects/deliverables
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, including ability to communicate proficiently with all levels of Management.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
  • In supporting the Company and each Division, handle multiple inputs from corporate and division management teams
  • Ability to occasionally support calls/meetings outside of normal business hours due to significant timing offset of other time zones
  • Occasional long hours to support critical deadlines
  • Bilingual in French and English is preferred for cross-functional work with our global offices.
