Job Summary:
As the Director of Labor and Employee Relations, you'll be a vital part of making ServiceNet an amazing place to work. You'll work closely with our Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) to ensure that our employees feel valued, respected, and heard. Whether it's resolving conflicts, advising on workplace policies, or leading training sessions, you'll be at the heart of creating a supportive and positive environment. Key Responsibilities:
Investigations: Lead investigations into workplace misconduct, conflicts, and disciplinary issues and provide thorough reports on your findings.
Grievance Management: Serve as the representative for ServiceNet during grievance hearings.
Contract and Policy Development: Help develop, negotiate, and implement collective bargaining agreements and personnel policies.
Advisory Role: Offer guidance to senior management and employees on labor relations and policy and contract matters.
Training and Development: Develop and conduct training sessions for supervisors to ensure understanding of labor relations and compliance with policies.
Consultation: Work with our Talent Acquisition team on hiring processes involving union candidates.
Project Leadership: Lead special projects related to labor relations and employee investigations.
Representation: Respond to inquiries from the Department of Unemployment Assistance and coordinate related proceedings.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and confidential records of investigations and employee relations activities.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Labor Relations, or a related field.
Experience: At least 5 years of experience in employee and labor relations, with 2 years in a management role.
Skills: Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills; expertise in labor relations; proficiency in HR/CMS, MS Office, and other relevant software; and excellent communication skills.
Other: Ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain confidentiality, and travel within the ServiceNet footprint (Hampshire, Franklin, Hampden, Berkshire, and North Worcester counties) as needed.
