System Tester- TS Clearance (On-site)

Steel Point Solutions is looking for an innovative and experienced System Tester who will be responsible for documenting test procedures and plans and conduct system testing and requirements verification. Support testing and development teams in the understanding of requirements.

General Responsibilities:

• Actively participate in problem solving, continuous improvement, and demonstrate strong dedication to quality and communication throughout the testing process and will serve as a liaison to the business community and participate in unit and system testing to maintain the customer 's perspective while maintaining client relationships at peer level.
• The System Tester should assist team members in completing their work or acquiring skills while contributing to maintaining a collaborative work environment. Typically, accountable for results of team efforts by maintaining workflows and quality standards and meeting deadlines.
• Utilize our software from an end-user perspective; write and perform manual regression testing procedures; document test performance, bugs, and design inefficiencies in the software; assist developers in creating realistic testing scenarios

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering or related field, in lieu of degree an additional 5 years of work experience required
• 3+ years of system testing experience
• Must have an active TS clearance
• Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearance requirements, US citizenship is required.
• Experience with development activities in unit/system testing
• Experience with test result evaluation and test result reporting
• Experience supporting the federal government
• Ability to conduct analytical, debugging, problem-solving and root-cause activities

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent time management skills to meet the customer's deliverable dates and ensure business needs are met
• Preform analysis and projects to improve overall quality of work products and process
• Ability to maximize efficiency by managing time workload
• Familiarity with Cucumber and Gherkin testing frameworks
• Experience with Git and VS Code
• Experience in Agile/scrum or DevSecOps methodologies with emphasis on testing
• Familiarity with Atlassian tools like JIRA and Confluence
• Familiarity with Microsoft products such as Excel Word and Microsoft Office Visio
