Responsibilities
Serve as Principal Investigator and Co-Principal Investigator of research awards, as appropriate. Contribute to reports and publications, attend video meetings to discuss results and direct grant-related research, and perform other duties required by the cooperative agreements connected with the awards. Contribute broadly to the Applied Superconductivity Center by mentoring and providing expertise to students and postdocs, maintaining codes applied to digital image analyses used for applied superconductivity, and facilitating the onboarding of new faculty and staff including College of Engineering faculty who will be affiliated with the ASC. Serve the applied superconductivity community by updating, maintaining and distributing critical current data, advising on microscopy instrumentation, traveling to conferences when appropriate, participating in review panels and workshops, maintaining the historical archives for professional societies, and providing journal reviews for the scientific community.
Qualifications
Academic master's degree or highest-level terminal degree in Material Science, Physics, Chemistry or related field from an accredited institution in an appropriate field of specialization.
