POSITION SUMMARY:
The Home Infusion Pharmacy Manager is responsible for all the technical, operational, and administrative processes of pharmacy operations, and for providing a clear, descriptive vision of the company's mission and commitment.

The Home Infusion Pharmacy Manager is responsible for all the technical, operational, and administrative processes of pharmacy operations, and for providing a clear, descriptive vision of the company's mission and commitment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Oversees the development and implementation of all policies & procedures in accordance with state regulations. Conducts an annual review of the policies and procedures.
- Oversees the recruitment and retention of qualified home infusion staff.
- Oversees efforts to ensure the continued competency of all staff members.
- Ensures the availability of necessary resources and adequate inventory levels to meet the needs and expectations of customers.
- Provides a direct and decisive leadership role in KPHC's efforts to continually measure and improve performance.
- Maintains an active liaison with appropriate state and national associations to ensure continued awareness of issues and matters of importance to the company in providing quality services and continued growth.
- Develops, implements, and reviews the effectiveness of a strategic marketing plan.
- Directs and coordinates promotion of services performed to develop new markets, increase market share, and obtain competitive position in industry.
- Analysis department budget requests, to identify areas in which reductions can be made, and to allocate the infusion pharmacies operating budget for approval by the VP of Pharmacy Services.
- Reviews activity, operating, and sales reports with VP of Pharmacy Services to determine required changes in programs or operations.
- Takes steps to ensure that the quality of services provided is maintained and staffing of the program is appropriate.
- Oversees and encourages employee participation in the Improvement Organization Performance (IOP) program.
- Provides updates to the VP of Pharmacy Services on a regular schedule.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides clinical consultation for I.V. therapies, dosage calculations, nutritional support, pharmacokinetics, and drug information, as needed.
- Maintains patient confidentiality.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the VP of Pharmacy Services.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Pharmacy Degree, two to four years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Current Pharmacy License in the State of Maine.
- Proven leadership ability, personnel management, and teambuilding skills, including an ability to motivate employees.
- Effective organizational and communication skills.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Reports to the VP of Pharmacy Services.
- Direct reports include Home Infusion Pharmacy Staff.
- Interviews, hires, and orientates team members.
- Directs work expectations according to company goals.
- Appraises performance.
- Addresses complaints and resolves problems.
