Job Description:

As a Senior Consultant supporting our Federal government client, you will work as part of an innovative team to research, prepare, and deliver high-quality solutions. You will be trusted to complete tasks independently, begin leading others in completing tasks, and contribute to the overall team effort to solve challenging problems for the benefit of our customers.

The successful candidate will have the ability to:
  • Create and implement internal and external communications plans, including strategies for press releases, congressionally mandated reports, and business proposals
  • Lead a team to implement communications tactics and strategies for Federal agencies
  • Implements change management principles and methodologies to achieve seamless integration of communications across the agency.
  • Serve as the primary communications representative to business leaders and clients
  • Builds trust and rapport with clients by seeing assigned tasks in the context of broader strategic goals, anticipating risks and needs, and supporting decisions through development and delivery of high quality deliverables.
  • Independently manages time to complete assigned tasks, leads others in completing an array of tasks, and contributes to team effort.
  • Mentors others in developing and applying knowledge, skills, and abilities with core Capability Area(s) and professional expertise.
  • Continuous learning within core Capability Area(s) and professional expertise.
  • Leads application of Technical Assent's consulting approaches and methods within scope of project responsibility.
  • Builds organizational capability by building reusable process assets, templates, and tools that improve the consistency of our services through the CMMI for Services framework.
  • Supports business development by actively researching customer needs, recognizing opportunities and assessing the competitive environment to determine an optimal approach and solutions.
  • Maintains professional demeanor that is consistent with Technical Assent core values at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, business communications, or related discipline
  • 6+ years of relevant, professional experience
  • Experience working with a Federal Government agency, specifically the Veterans Affairs
  • Experience managing a project or workstream and incorporating change management principles into communications strategies and execution
  • Experience leading a team of 3 or more
  • Curious and open-minded approach to work
  • Thrive in a continuous Build-Measure-Learn cycle
  • Engage with technology-with comfort and ease (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Teams, Monday, Slack, etc.)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of, or certifications in, Human-Centered Design/Design Thinking, employee experience, customer experience, and/or service design
  • Experience consulting for the Federal government

Job Location and Travel Expectations:
