Position Overview

Legato Security is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to take on a new exciting role in Salt Lake City, UT, or remotely in the United States. This is a senior position perfect for those who want to be involved in a new product being designed by a start-up technology company. The successful candidate will report directly to the VP of Product and will be responsible for tasks related to assisting in the testing, design of testing systems, and ongoing management of a new software product to be implemented as a tool to enhance Legato Security's Managed Detection and Response offering. Candidates must demonstrate an excellent understanding of software development processes, automated testing, and critical thinking skills. Previous cybersecurity, MSSP, and/or MDR experience is highly desirable.

Specific Job Responsibilities
  • Drive the software quality assurance lifecycle and integrate it into automatic deployment flows
  • Plan, design and execute test scenarios, execute automation strategy when applicable, and contribute to the test effort as a member of an agile team across various development projects
  • Create a shared testing environment and tooling to allow developers to easily add unit and regression tests
  • Examine and analyze bug reports, prioritize essential tests, and streamline application functions via automated testing processes
  • Work with SOC analysts, CSM, and on-boarding teams to validate bugs found by customers or internal stakeholders
  • Attend stand-up meetings with the development team to ensure close working relationships with them and to understand the testing load that is upcoming
  • Document and report testing issues using JIRA
  • Collaborate with the Development team to seamlessly integrate security features into the software development life cycle (SDLC), ensuring that security is considered at every stage of development
  • Identify potential security risks within the codebase, applications, and infrastructure
  • Implement Secure Coding Practices
  • Stay informed about the latest developments in application security and related technologies

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in QA or Testing SAAS applications
  • Experience in creating QA environments in start-up organizations
  • Familiarity with common testing automation tools such as Jest and Puppeteer
  • Strong technical skills in technologies such as JavaScript, Node JS, Python, and SQL.
  • Excellent QA skills employing test frameworks, commercial test sets, home grown tools, and automated testing
  • Experience with GCP, AWS or other cloud infra, CI/CD tools such as Jenkins
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science / Software Engineering
