Opportunity Summary:

The Manager of Quotations is primarily responsible for leading the quotations team in all functions related to producing accurate and timely customer quotation packages. The role ensures that RSG customers receive a best-in-class experience during the quoting phase of the sales process. This position provides direction to the quotations team, evaluates current processes, and suggests process simplification and improvement strategies to streamline the quotations process.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Process Improvement and Leadership:
    • Lead process improvement initiatives to drive enhanced on-time delivery and quality of quotation packages.
    • Track and enhance team performance metrics such as on-time delivery and accuracy.
  • Technical Product Expertise:
    • Ensure the quotations team has a deep understanding of RSG's walk-in freezers, walk-in coolers, and refrigeration equipment to produce accurate quotes. Regularly update the team on product developments and technical knowledge.
  • Customer Interaction & Feedback:
    • Act as the liaison between customers and the quotations team, gathering feedback and collaborating with sales and customer service to address concerns, ensuring customer needs are met and satisfaction remains high.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to align quotes with manufacturing capabilities and production schedules, ensuring feasibility and timely delivery.
    • Work closely with the sales team to align quoting practices with overall sales strategies and customer engagement plans.
  • Process Optimization and Automation:
    • Develop and maintain quote templates, language, standards, and data resources to create high-quality and accurate quote responses.
    • Implement continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) to enhance process efficiency and reduce manual errors.
  • Risk Management:
    • Identify and mitigate risks in the quoting process, such as potential misquotations or delays that could impact customer satisfaction or order fulfillment.
  • Training and Development:
    • Develop and deliver training programs for the quotations team to ensure consistency in quoting practices and to enhance their understanding of both products and customer needs.
    • Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Qualifications:
  • BA/BS degree preferred; Associate degree or Business School Degree with significant and successful on-the-job experience.
  • Two to four years of customer service experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of RSG products and services, particularly walk-in freezers, walk-in coolers, and refrigeration equipment.
  • Strong analytical and synthesis skills, with a metrics-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues, cross-functional teams, and third parties.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ERP systems (Kinetic - Preferred), Salesforce CRM (Preferred), data aggregation software (ThoughtSpot or PowerBi), Quotation software (Computair preferred) and general computer applications.
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies (Six Sigma) is a plus.
