This position requires a highly skilled and experienced CRNA capable of providing safe and effective anesthesia care across a wide range of clinical settings. The individual must demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to regulatory requirements.
The CRNA plays a vital role in administering anesthesia and related services, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout surgical procedures. This position requires ongoing assessment of clinical competencies and adherence to established protocols. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients prior to anesthesia administration.
- Administer general anesthesia and adjuvant drugs as necessary.
- Perform regional anesthesia techniques and sedation procedures.
- Manage cardiopulmonary resuscitation and airway management techniques.
- Monitor patients using invasive and noninvasive monitoring tools.
- Provide mechanical ventilation and oxygen therapy as needed.
- Place peripheral intravenous and arterial catheters.
- Assist in fluid, electrolyte, and acid-base management during procedures.
- Provide acute and chronic pain therapy following anesthesia.
- Oversee post-anesthesia care and discharge procedures.
- Pursue ongoing education and training to maintain and enhance clinical competencies.
- Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications:
- Education and Experience:
- Graduate degree (M.B.A., M.A., etc.).
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- Current state licensure as a registered nurse in Arkansas.
- Certification eligibility, initial certification, or recertification through the Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists or its predecessor.
Software Skills Required:
- Intermediate: 10-Key.
- Basic: Accounting, Alphanumeric Data Entry.
