What You'll Be Doing
The Program Manager II will oversee the expansion of high-quality childcare seats within our County to enhance the overall quality and accessibility of childcare services in the community, focusing on managing childcare in public spaces, leading family childcare recruitment initiatives, and promoting participation of community based childcare programs in the Blueprint for Maryland's Future (Blueprint) program.
Minimum Qualifications
Experience: Five (5) years of experience working in an Early Childhood program as a teacher, program director/assistant director, program administrator/owner. Supervisory experience required.
Education: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree.
Equivalency: An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.

What You'll Be Doing

- Develop and implement comprehensive plans to increase the availability of high-quality childcare seats in Montgomery County.
- Collaborate with other County government departments, public agencies, and community partners and various stakeholders, including public institutions and community partners, to identify suitable spaces/locations for childcare programs.
- Oversee recruitment efforts for family childcare providers and community childcare programs, participating in Blueprint for Maryland (Pre-K Expansion) and implementing targeted initiatives to attract qualified caregivers.
- Develop and maintain relationships with family childcare associations, providing support and resources to ensure successful partnerships. Identify supports necessary for sustainability of expanded seats.
- Supervise a minimum of three (3) staff charged with Montgomery County Child Care expansion benchmarks.
