School Psychologist

Compensation: Negotiable, $41 an hour and up

Overview: Full-time, Day shift 7:30am - 3:30pm! Monday - Friday

Job Responsibilities:

• Evaluate students and prepare psychological studies utilizing a variety of standardized individual and group psychological diagnostic and predictive test instruments for the purpose of making eligibility recommendations.
• Provide consultation to staff on the provision of interventions, data collection from interventions for students referred for consultation, intervention and evaluation.
• Manage the special education process, performing testing for suspected disabilities as well as re-evaluations.
• Support Positive Behavior Intervention Support
• Provide counseling to students in crisis.
• Understand and comply with all TES Protocols and Procedures in relation to job expectations.

Requirements:

• Master's degree in educational psychology or equivalent
• Must have Ohio Psychology Certification/license
• Experience in cognitive, achievement, and behavioral assessments
• One year experience preferred
• Compassion for the needs of children, including those with disturbed behavior and a history of trauma or other challenges
• Organizational skills suitable for keeping records, which may be used as legal documents or for other official purposes
• Skill at communicating with colleagues, district employees, families and children of all ages
• Ability to maintain accurate student records.
• Ability to, plan strategies, and activities to meet identified needs of students.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to work with teachers and students to demonstrate ways of supporting students in the regular classroom.
• Pass a criminal and abuse background check.
• Proof of a valid driver's license.
