JOB SUMMARY:
The Sales Planning Manager (SPM) supports the sales organizations by providing quantitative analysis and reporting based on region, customer sector, manager & customer sales performance. The Sales Planning Manager acts as a Sales Operations Analyst, who gathers and interprets data and turns it into actionable information used to drive sales growth, improve efficiencies, more effectively understand our customers, and drive change. This position requires deep knowledge of SAP and Salesforce.com. The Sales Planning Manager reports to the Senior Director of Sales Operations and interacts with all levels within the sales organization as well as EVP/CFO of finance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Create historical and forward-looking sales reports, through various data sources (i.e., SAP, Salesforce.com, MS BI) to identify and report business trends.
- Continually look at new methods and technologies to analyze data and provide insights into the business in pursuit of the region's sales objectives.
- Frequent interaction in the support of the sales organization.
- Ensure region's Salesforce.com management is consistent with company standards as defined in efforts to provide accurate forecasting of future sales.
- Measure customer performance vs. marketing/incentive programs.
- Development of the annual sales quotas by territory.
- Preparation of analysis and reports of performance vs. forecasts and annual plan.
- Creation of and monitoring performance of Volume Incentive Rebates and other customer incentive plans
- Creation, execution and distribution of ad-hoc financial analysis, both self-created and those done by his/her team
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- A college degree is required, preferred degree in one of the following: Accounting, Finance, Economics
- 3-5 years' professional experience working with Sales reporting
- Strong proficiency in SAP, BW and Excel
- Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM system
- Knowledge of MS Power BI or other visualization software
- Deep understanding of process optimization
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to write comprehensive reports
- Analytical mind and inclination for problem solving
- Prior experience in Manufacturing or Electronics industry reporting-- a plus
